Save up to 60% on Utility Bills
Building with SIPs offers home and building
owners up to 60% reduction on energy bills.
Renewable Resources
SIPs are made from thick EPS foam cores sandwiched
between OSB (Oriented Strand Board) panel faces. The OSB is made from fast-growing trees, and produced in a way
that yields a large percentage of every tree. The foam itself is made from partially-recycled material, and the
final result is a large solid panel that arrives to the jobsite pre-cut.
Superior R-Values
The R-Values are similar to those of other
products. R-value is a static measurement of the resistance to heat flow. Premier SIPs have consistently outperformed
other methods of construction in both whole wall R-value comparison and energy efficiency. The most dramatic results
are the reports of the happy customers of PBS, but there is also a significant level of scientific data as well.
See a chart of Premier's
R-values.
Up to Two-Thirds Less Jobsite Waste
Job-ready SIPs allow installers to install
the roof, wall and floor panels without the need to cut, frame and trim excessive amounts of lumber and other materials.
The job-ready feature of Premier SIPs panels reduces the amount of jobsite material waste by 60% when compared
to buildings constructed with regular dimensional lumber and framing materials. Less waste is obviously better
for our environment.
Exceptional Indoor Air Quality & Temperature Control
When compared to buildings framed with dimensional
lumber, Premier's large SIPs cover greater surfaces with far less gaps in the walls and roofs, to be filled and
sealed, offering home and building owners better indoor air quality, reduced infiltration of outside pollutants,
smaller HVAC systems needs and superior indoor temperature control. Premier homes and buildings stay cooler in
the summer and warmer in the winter than buildings framed with dimensional lumber.
Tax Credits, Incentives & Rebates
San Diego County Green Building Incentives
The County of San Diego has a Green Building
Incentive Program designed to promote the use of resource efficient construction materials, water conservation
and energy efficiency in new and remodeled residential and commercial buildings. As part of the program, the County
will waive the fee for the building permit and plan check for a photovoltaic system. In addition, for qualifying
resource conservation measures, the County will reduce building permit and plan check fees by 7.5% and grant expedited
plan checks, saving approximately 7 - 10 days on the project timeline. To qualify for these conservation incentives,
the project must comply with the program requirements for either natural resources conservation, water conservation,
or energy conservation
Other rebates and incentives may be available to those building greener and more efficient homes and buildings.

Tax Credits
In 2005, President George Bush signed the United States Energy Policy Act. This legislation gives financial incentives
to residential contractors and commercial building owners that build energy efficient homes and buildings. By using
energy efficient building materials such as structural insulated panels (SIPs), builders and contractors can qualify
for a $2000 tax credit on residential homes or up to a $1.80 per square foot tax deduction on commercial buildings.
To receive the $2000 tax credit for homes, the builder must follow the guidelines set out in IRS Notice 2006-27. To do so, the home must undergo an inspection from an energy rater certified through the Residential
Energy Services Network (RESNET). To find a RESNET energy rater in your area visit the RESNET website.
* Note: Available environmental tax credits and deductions vary by region. Visit http://www.dsireusa.org for information about tax incentives in your region.

Did you know?
Premeir structures stay warmer in the winter & cooler in the summer.
Stronger: Buildings constructed with Premeir SIPs roofs, the roof alone is
strong enough that it doesn't need an engineered truss system.
Straighter: Pre-cut, ready for assembly, SIPs panels save time in framing. Save
hours/days without the need of endless cutting & shimming for installing cabinets, countertops, flooring, doors,
and lighting.
Greener: SIPs panels are made from rapidly renewable resources, offer better
indoor air quality, and temperature control.

What is a Carbon Footprint?
A carbon footprint is the
measure of the amount of
carbon dioxide -- the major
man-made global warming
greenhouse gas -- that goes
into the atmosphere as you
go about your daily life.
